The Lascaux IV project opened its doors on Dec. 15th 2016 – the facsimile reproduces nearly the whole famous Lascaux cave. Located just a few meters from the original site & just 500m from the village of Montignac, this replicate used brand new image technologies & virtual mediation.
Project's ambition? : to bring back to the visitor the "same sensations" as the four teenagers who had discovered the prehistoric cave in 1940.The 3D images will offer visitors an amazing experience - a must-see for travelers visiting the South West of France!!!
