An opening cocktail was celebrated this Monday 14th December 2015, The Grand Hotel of Bordeaux becoming the fifth French establishment of the luxury hotel chain. Intercontinetal taking advantage of this exceptional place for the next 20 years, and will achieve to make minor changes.
Indeed, the 130 rooms of the hotel have been slightly modified in order to match with the standards of service and comfort of the brand. The second change was made in the kitchen of its gastronomic restaurant "Le Pressoir d'Argent", with the arrival of the famous English chef Gordon Ramsay.
With these developments, Intercontinental hopes to establish itself and become the reference in terms of luxury hotel business in Bordeaux, as it was able to do in other cities around the world. The next step for Intercontinental Group will be investing The Grand Hotel-Dieu of Lyon, which is scheduled to open in 2018.
